ISSUE
#13 MAY.JUN 2005
So we're
a couple of days late this month; that's what being issue
thirteen does to us. Like the tagline says, unlucky for some.
But we got there in the end and I think we've got some more
fine material for your perusal.
Good news
from the CSS stable this issue; Doug's got a story appearing
in a future issue of the excellent Crime Spree magazine. We'll
let you know when that's coming out soon as well. But since
someone did ask him recently to put his money where his mouth
is, we think he's done something pretty damn spanking in "The
Morning After". So a round of applause to Doug.
Anyway,
onto matters of more immediate concerns (also known as CSS
issue #13). In this installment, we find ourselves visiting
the scary town of Mangel as we review Fags and Lager and author
Charlie Williams pops by to tell us about how Lost Author's
Annoymous saved both him and Royston Blake from a stay in
an insitution. We get all 21st Century on you as we talk to
video game developers Hiding Buffalo and take a peek at their
PI game, Gumshoe Online. Not only that but we have all the
usual reviews and nonsense.
We also
have brand new fiction. Nothing quite like last issue's Angel
(which raised a few eyebrows and a few hackles) although Chris
Morrow's back and as foul mouthed and violent as ever with
"Crappy Trainers" while a "government"
employee starts to question his vocation in Timothy Burgess's
"Nothing You Can Leave Behind".
But you
didn't come here to listen to me yammering on. No, you came
for the real action, so go on, devour the tantalising treats
of this issue and we'll be back again in only two months to
spoonfeed you even more...
