ISSUE
#16 MARCH/APRIL 2006
So where
the hell's the new issue, Russel?
Its a
question I've been hearing a lot. We're getting there, folks.
In fact this issue's been split in half to let you guys and
gals get a look at the tasty treats we've been dying to give
you for some time. First half (up at the end of March) is
all fiction including delierious delights from Joseph Faria
whose Love, The Dead Man is a develish noir trip to Hong Kong
that tests the tough protagonists ethics as much as it does
his strength. Then we have the return of Chris Morrow, whose
Sawf London is always a dark and dingy nightmare but even
more so in this tale of drugs, rent boys and samurai swords:
Chickens. And Mark J Kiewlak, who has in the past written
for DC Comics' Flash, brings us the hardboiled PI of his tough
tale, Confession.
We've
got loads of reviews lined up. Keep an eye out for Ray Banks'
Saturday's Child, coming soon to a store near you. This lad's
shaking up the Brit crime scene like no one else. And if we're
lucky we'll have an interview up with him in a couple of weeks.
A couple more days locked in the basement and we're sure he'll
be ready to talk.
So while
we're running slow, you'll be pleased to know http://www.crimescenescotlandreviews.blogspot.com
will keep you up to date with our latest reviews. So for those
who claim we never update, its well worth checking out. We're
trying to get back to a regular schedule soon but in the meantime,
keep the faith. And remember there's still a couple of weeks
to enter the crimescenescotland poll. In fact, if you sent
in an entry you might want to send it again as a problem with
our mail servers deleted a bundle of entries. Our new contact
is: crimescenescotland@yahoo.co.uk
Au revoir,
mes amis
