Much as
I love the zine, you really didn't have to give Angel any
kind of warning. Everything about the zine makes it clear
this is a place for adults. It seemed a bit wussy warning
us about the dark themes of Angel, especially when you keep
publishing that Morrow bastard (who is absolutely fuckin'
ace).
You
know how many people wrote similar freakin' letters? Okay,
okay, we get it, we got a bit parental over the whole thing...
But rather that than have some bastard complaining we didn't
warm em about extreme content...
Boys
At last,
articles with a degree of coherency - Ed Lynskey's article
on Massur was briliantly written and a nice change from your
usual lineup. I hope you'll be doing more like this in the
future.
Long
as you guys send us em we'll print em (if they pass mustard).
Our editorial policy is a lot tighter than it used to be,
but then the writers are getting better, too. Check out our
article on Marlowe and Thelma Todd this month by James Clar.
Dear Sir
As Mr
Chiklis (aka Potatohead)'s officially unnoficial representative
I am pleased to note the lack of potato jokes in recent issues.
Mr Chiklis is no longer going to get into character for the
next series of The Shield by coming round and kicking your
ass as Vic Mackey.
Yrs sincerely
Ima Bastard,
attorney at law.
Well,
Mr Bastard, we're rather upset at this news. I trust he's
still going to come over in character as Chris Woods from
Daddio so we can kick his ass? Well, I suppose he's too busy
with his new Hollywood career playing a big lump of rock...
Do
you ever wonder if some people on the net might not be who
they claim to be?
Anyway,
boys and girls keep those comments coming. And if Mr Chiklis'
real represenatives are listening, we mean no harm. In fact
all power to the Chiklis because despite everything we say
a lot of people love his performance in The Shield and, hey,
his bank balance is far larger than ours so he must be doing
something right.
Till
next time.
